Multi Mill a self – contained portable unit useful for high-speed granulation, pulversing, mixing, shredding and chopping of wide range of wet and dry materials with special attachments called beater which have Knife/Impact blades and Scrapper blades (Standard) to get the required size reduction.

Multimill is used widely in pharmaceuticals (granulation section), cosmetic, chemical, and bulk drugs for cutting granules into small particle sizes by the mechanism of cutting, Pulverization, and hammering.

It operates on the principle of variable force swing beaters having both knife and impact edges rotating within a selected screen to get the required size reduction.

Material fed in the hopper, goes down to the processing chamber where it moves to the periphery and passes through the screen radially and tangentially. Finally the processed material gets collected in the container kept below the processing chamber.

Output and quality of the final product depends on three main factors: (I) Shape of beaters (knife/impact edges) (II) Speed and (III) Screen.

•Multi mill is used for high speed Granulating, Pulverizing, Mixing, Shredding and Chopping, etc, of a wide range of wet and dry materials without special attachments. This machine utilizes the principle of variable force swing hammer blades having both knife and impact edges rotating with a carefully selected screen to control size reduction.

•Flow path of material in vertical rotor machine is streamlined. During comminuting, material entering the chamber travels to the periphery and passes through the screen tangentially and radially avoiding chocking and temperature rise.

The principle and mechanism of multimill:

The principle involves variable force rotate blades having both knife and sharp edges with validated screen size to reduce particles in a controlled manner. The mechanism involves the pulverization process (Pulverization is grinding and crushing of materials into small particles) knife is used to cut the large particles into small size particles. These big particles are made from granules during the drying process in FBD. The hummer process is used to break the large particles into small sizes.

Application :
